Steps to Activate the McAfee Product Subscription
McAfee is a widely used computer security software provider offering products including IntruShield, McAfee Change Control, Entercept, SiteAdvisor, VirusScan, and more. Its digital security tools protect personal computers, server devices, and mobile devices. To activate your subscription, follow the procedure below.
- Login to your McAfee Account. Go to mcafee.com/activate and sign in with your registered email and password. If you don't have an account yet, create one using the same email you used when purchasing your product.
- Enter the 25-digit Product Key. Locate your unique 25-character activation code — found on the retail card, in your purchase confirmation email, or inside the product packaging. Type it carefully into the field provided.
- Verify your email for download and activation. After submitting the key, McAfee will send a verification email. Click the link inside to confirm your identity and proceed to download your security software.
- Download and install. Once verified, follow the on-screen prompts to download the installer for your operating system (Windows or Mac). Run the installer and complete the setup.
Requirements
- A valid McAfee product subscription (LiveSafe, Total Protection, Antivirus Plus, or another eligible product).
- A stable internet connection during download and activation.
- Your device must meet the minimum system requirements for the McAfee product you are installing.
